Law could prevent Richmond wrongful deaths
June 24, 2010
A new law promotes trailer safety, which could prevent some Virginia wrongful deaths.
According to BusinessWire.com, Virginia law enforcement officers out of Richmond will be handing out $250 fines to trailer owners in Virginia who do not have the proper safety connections.
Since 1988, more than 400 people have died each year because of Virginia auto accidents caused by trailer separation and involving innocent victims, causing Virginia wrongful death accidents.
The law goes into effect July 1, and Virginia law enforcement officers and representatives want to make the summer safer for everyone.
