Richmond tractor-trailer tire causes woman’s death
May 13, 2010
A right-rear tire came off a tractor-trailer going eastbound on I-64 in Richmond.
A 36-year-old Colonial Heights woman driving a Ford minivan heading west got caught in the tire’s path and wrecked, according to WAVY.com. The woman died, and police say charges are pending as the crash remains under investigation.
Do you think tractor-trailers should be required to be inspected more often when truck drivers make stops? What, if anything, do you think the truck driver should be charged with?
