Firm members Candice Arnold, Brian Dunn, Geoff McDonald, Brody Reid, Jennifer Velazquez, Molly Blanton, and Jamie Karek lent their time to help fix up a home during United Way’s Operation Paintbrush program.
As part of United Way of Greater Richmond and Petersburg’s Operation Paintbrush program, the members of Geoff McDonald & Associates spent an afternoon painting, cleaning, raking leaves, repairing a house for an elderly widow on August 14, 2009.
Last year, the group painted a house for an elderly couple in Glen Allen, Virginia, as part of the Operation Paintbrush program. For the entire afternoon, 18 members of the firm helped paint the house in addition to cutting tree branches, pulling weeds, and mulching garden areas in the lawn.
About Operation Paintbrush
Operation Paintbrush is a program where volunteer groups paint the homes of needy Henrico County citizens. These are citizens without adequate resources or family help whose homes need painting and would only further deteriorate without assistance. Throughout the past six years, volunteers from Henrico County's churches, businesses, civic organizations, clubs, and government agencies have painted 83 homes and provided more than 14,000 hours of work.
