Paul Dull was an Army brat born in Key West, Florida and spent the first 4 years of his life in Germany while his dad served as a military policeman. After the Army, his parents moved back to their native home in Roanoke, Virginia, where Paul attended public school. “I wanted to be a lawyer ever since I was in first grade. I was very moved by the obstacles my friends and their families faced. It awakened a strong desire in my heart to make others’ lives better.”
Paul has a wealth of experience in practicing law from being an associate in a firm, to owning his own firm, to being the Senior Commonwealth Attorney in Roanoke. “I have handled all types of cases in courts all over central and southwest Virginia. The courtroom is my second home.” Early in his career, Paul practiced plaintiff’s law and is now returning to those roots with Geoff McDonald & Associates.
Paul’s current practice at GMA is as a personal injury trial attorney, focusing on motor vehicle injuries and dangerous premises. He tries to settle cases for injured people but never turns down a chance to take an insurance company to court on behalf of his clients. “I am looking for the best result I can get. My clients need to focus on healing and leave the legal problems entirely to me. I wish I could make them all well again, but I can’t. I can, however, hold someone responsible for their actions and help my clients financially recover.”
Paul attended the University of Virginia as an undergraduate majoring in Government and earned his Juris Doctor from the Appalachian School of Law in 2000. He is a sports enthusiast, cheering on the Cavaliers and coaching middle school girls’ basketball when he can. He was a long-time member, deacon, and Sunday school teacher at Grandin Court Baptist Church until moving to Richmond. “I love family, God, UVA, sports, trivia, and Star Wars! But my favorite thing to do is to bring justice to the injured.”
