Maurice understands that a workplace injury affects more than just the worker. It impacts their entire household. This belief drives his work as a workers’ compensation attorney, where he fights to level the playing field for individuals against insurance companies with far greater resources.

Born in Germany and immigrating to the U.S. as a child, Maurice learned early what it means to navigate new systems and fight for stability. He brings that same determination to every client he represents.

A graduate of Hampden-Sydney College, Maurice earned his J.D. from North Carolina Central University School of Law. In law school, he was a member of the Trial Advocacy Board, competed in trial competitions, and served as Treasurer of the International Law Society. He defended renters facing eviction in the greater Durham area and interned with the Public Defender’s Office. These experiences sharpened his advocacy skills and deepened his commitment to justice.

Outside the office, Maurice enjoys reading, golfing, and weightlifting.
