To foster the safety and well-being of Central Virginia residents, Geoff McDonald & Associates launched a community awareness “Just be Smart” campaign. As part of the campaign, Geoff McDonald is giving presentations to local high schools concerning the dangers of distracted driving. To launch off their “Just be Smart” campaign, McDonald was a guest speaker at the “Come Home Alive” program – a safe driving program geared toward parents and teens in Chesterfield County.

Next, McDonald presented to Huguenot High School and George Wythe High during drivers education classes with some great advice for when you get behind the wheel, including an overview of current Virginia texting and driving laws. As part of the program, McDonald explained to students that in order to remove the temptation to text and drive, he tosses his phone in the back of his truck.

McDonald will be at Varina High School on June 5th – 6th, visiting all of the driver’s education classes. McDonald plans to visit all of Richmond’s local high schools that support the awareness of distracted driving.
