A 33-year-old Richmond, Virginia, man sustained serious injuries in a Richmond truck accident he was involved in earlier this week while riding his motorcycle. According to WRIC 8 News, the crash happened at around 11:30 a.m. Thursday on Williamsburg Road in Henrico County.

Reports indicate the victim was riding his motorcycle eastbound along the four-lane highway when a red logging trailer cut him off while changing lanes. The motorcyclist was able to avoid a collision by swerving off the road, but lost control of the bike and crashed into a grass median in the center of the road. Rescue crews were able to rush the injured victim to a local hospital, where he remains in stable condition.

Immediately following the Richmond Truck Accident, the driver of the tractor-trailer fled the scene and was last seen heading east along Williamsburg Road.

Officials stated investigators are continuing to look into the incident and are asking anyone who may have witnessed the accident to come forward with any information they may have.
