At Geoff McDonald & Associates, giving back to our community is something we believe should happen throughout the year. One of the ways our team keeps community service woven into everyday life at the firm is through a simple office tradition we call “Jeans Friday.”

While our team maintains a professional dress code during the workweek, Fridays come with an opportunity to trade professional attire for jeans—and support a good cause at the same time. Team members who participate in Jeans Friday are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to Feed More, helping turn an everyday office tradition into an ongoing effort to fight hunger in Central Virginia.

Throughout the year, Geoff McDonald & Associates keeps Feed More donation bins in the office so employees can continue contributing food. As the bins fill, our team collects the donations and delivers them to Feed More, then starts the process again.

The result is more than a traditional food drive held once during the holidays. By collecting donations consistently, our team is able to support Feed More and the Central Virginia neighbors it serves throughout the year.

Feed More works to provide food and other hunger-relief resources to children, families, seniors, and individuals across Central Virginia. Supporting an organization doing this work in our own community makes the partnership especially meaningful to our Richmond team.

For Geoff McDonald & Associates, Jeans Friday is also a reminder that giving back does not always require a major event. Small contributions made consistently can add up to something much bigger. A single canned good or box of food may seem like a small gesture on its own, but when an entire team participates week after week, those donations can quickly fill an office collection bin—and eventually help fill the shelves of a local hunger-relief organization.

We are proud to support Feed More and its work throughout Central Virginia. Whether our team is collecting food, supporting local schools, helping families during the holidays, or participating in other community initiatives, Geoff McDonald & Associates remains committed to finding practical ways to help the communities we call home.
