Supporting the organizations that strengthen our communities is an important part of the culture at Geoff McDonald & Associates. Through our Nonprofit of the Month Partnership, we have partnered with more than 35 nonprofit organizations throughout Virginia, helping bring greater awareness and financial support to organizations doing meaningful work across the Commonwealth.

The program gives participating nonprofits an opportunity to raise money while introducing their mission to a broader audience. During each partnership, Geoff McDonald & Associates promotes the featured organization and encourages our community to get involved by following our social media pages. For every new follower on Facebook and Instagram during the campaign, Geoff McDonald & Associates donates $1 to the featured nonprofit organization.

While fundraising is an important part of the program, our partnerships are about more than writing a check. Whenever possible, members of the Geoff McDonald & Associates team look for opportunities to learn more about the nonprofit, promote its mission, and get directly involved in the work it is doing in the community.

Past partnerships have included organizations such as Richmond Metropolitan Habitat for Humanity, where members of our team volunteered at a Richmond build site, and the Richmond SPCA, where GMA employees have volunteered to support the organization and its fundraising efforts. These experiences allow our team to see firsthand the impact local nonprofits are making and contribute in ways that go beyond financial support.

Virginia is home to nonprofit organizations serving an enormous range of needs—from children and families to housing, animals, education, hunger relief, health, and other important community causes. By highlighting a different organization through the Nonprofit of the Month Partnership, we can help introduce more Virginians to the people and programs working every day to make our communities stronger.

The program also gives our clients, social media followers, employees, and other members of the community an easy way to participate. Something as simple as following Geoff McDonald & Associates on social media during a partnership can translate into another dollar donated to the featured organization while also helping more people discover its mission.

At Geoff McDonald & Associates, one of our core values is to help others. We live that value through the work we do for our clients, but we believe it should extend well beyond the walls of our law offices.
